Remember that there are always certain changes over the years too. Wiring, plugs, slightly different parts, etc.

All those little parts add up.

Civic coupe weights:

DX
1996: (not sure)
1997: 2324
1998: 2342
1999: 2359
2000: 2359

EX
1996: (not sure)
1997: 2507
1998: 2504
1999: 2513
2000: 2513

HX
1996: (not sure)
1997: 2352
1998: 2361
1999: 2370
2000: 2370

Si
1999: 2612
2000: 2601

Remember that the base weights would not include optional parts. It wold only include standard parts. So I didn't include any optional parts unless for comparision against standard parts on another trim. I put a list of optional parts for all coupe trims at the bottom.

Here's what they got that other Civics didn't (or you could click the link in my sig to compare):

- Engine = B16A2 1.6L DOHC VTEC instead of D16Y7 1.6L SOHC non-VTEC, D16Y8 1.6L SOHC VTEC or D16Y5 1.6L SOHC VTEC-E. Also slightly different engine components.

- Transmission = S4C five speed manual instead of S40 five speed manual or A4RA four speed auto or B4RA four speed auto or M4VA CVT.

- Exterior colors. Si got Electron Blue Pearl, which others didn't, but other trims got many other color options.

- Muffler garnish is standard on Si. Optional on DX, EX and HX.
