crx si car harness question
I installed a 91 crx si car harness and engine harness into a 88 crx hf, i had to replace the relay going to the starter just to get the engine to turn over and at this point i cant get the engine to fire. I had to replace the engine harness and the car harness because they were both jacked up and I wanted to start with a virgin harness so I will know that the job is done right. I have an obd1 b18a1 motor with a b16 head and I did the conversion to the engine harness myself so I am confident it is done right. I also installed a jumper harness i purchased off ebay. My question is- Are there any relays or resistor boxs or anything on the car harness that could be bad and cause the engine not to fire? Keep in mind that I got the harness out of a junk yard so there is no telling how long it has set up.
are you getting spark and or fuel? check that first then go from there. i have done this twice too. also if you have a hf engine harness and a si body harness or visa versa its not going to run. it will plug in but not run. did you all your harnesses of the same car?
Its all si car and engine harness. i cut the sunroof and rear window wiper wires. I am using the si engine harness because i read in another forum that the hf engine harness does not work with the si car harness (driver side plug has different wire pinout). I know I converted the engine harness correctly, or as correct as the instructions I was using. By the way thanks for any productive feedback, I am so close to driving a sweet *** little built all-motor b18/b16 crx, I need just a little wire help. This might make me sound like an idiot, but I just learned how a relay actually works by taking it apart, any honda wiring information that I can learn will take me one step closer to full knowledge of my baby. p.s. honda-tech is the ****
Is it possible to get some type of assembly manual for my crx? Im asking because I would like to know what color wire does what on my car harness so I can untape the harness and remove any wires that will not be used so my wire work will have a better appearance. I dont have A/C, heater, clock, and many other options and I would like to correctly remove their wires from my car harness to elliminate leftover plugs.

Yep, the fuel pump is priming. There is a plug left unattached locatd near the dash fuse box. It has 5 wires going into it one of which is a large geen/red wire. It looks like it might require a relay or something. Im gonna go scope out my friends 91 si and see what it plugs into.
