year, make, and model????? just a lil insight, i had a 92 cx that previous owner ghetto slammed and when on the interstate above 50 the down force on the front of the car was causing the front wheels to hit the inner fender and melting the liner causing it to cause a horrible odor inside the cabin burning rubber smell, hope it helps

 

could be your tires rubbinh inner fender.take a wheel off n inspect it
