TRANNY PROBLEMS??
Ok so I have a 94 teggy ls and I was driving the other day.... I came to an intersection and when i tried going into first gear, it wouldnt shift. I was sitting there jiggling shifter bak n forth to get into gear, but it wouldnt go at all.
I then just tried going into second and start from there, but it wouldnt do that either.
When the car is off, i can shift into any gear easily, but when its on it doesnt go anywhere. I was thinking that maybe the gears n teeth are out of synch with the tranny, but not sure.
Idk if this helps anybody, but....
when i had the car off, i put into first gear and then turned the car on. The car jumped forward and started to move in first gear WITHOUT my foot touching the gas.... Wtf??
HELP PLEASE.

Did it do this without pressing in the clutch? If so, you have some issues with your clutch switch and its proper operation.
The "gears and teeth" are not out of synch. When was the last time you replaced your transmission fluid?
Bleed out your clutch, check the switch, look for leaks around your master and slave cylinders and change your fluid (if you haven't already done so).

I was thinkin it might have sumtin to do wiht the fluid since i just got the car recently from someone who did poor maintenance on the car. THanks for the response, ill keep up to date on progress.
If anybody feels they have other things to try, then feel free to let me know.
