Default What kind of AFRs you running ?

I know there are posts about what AFR you should tune to... I know the answers that everyone gives... but I would like to know what all you DIY tuners are running in and out of VTEC ?

I currently have around 13.2-13.4 out of vtec and averaging 12.8-13.0 in vtec... dropping down to 12.6's from 7k - 8k.

What's your AFRs look like ?

I shoot for 14.5-15.0 for low load partial throttle driving and around 13.3 WOT for a naturally aspirated Honda on gas. Obviously you would be between those depending on the load.

then make it leaner and richer and see which one the engine likes better.

Forgot to ask what octane you're running on.

I am running on the low end 90-91 octane (sux for me)

For the most part, the amount of octane you run, doesn't really affect the air/fuel ratios you tune for as long as it's pump gas and not race fuel, ethanol etc. The octane you run has more of a direct effect on the amount of timing you can tune your engine for.

What guage and sensor are you using? They all read different, kinda like dyno's and compression guages.

I have a PLX and AEM, I think Innovate was the most consistant in the comparision I saw. Still does not matter, if your engine runs the beast @13.7 on your guage, run it there. Different compressions and intake manifolds like different numbers, there is no one answer.
