way too bumpy I can feel even the slightest bump on the road is this because I preloaded the front too much I tightened the springs about 3 full circles and the back about 2
3 full circles from what? From when you thought they were already a little bit tight? A little bit loose? If pre-load is your problem, here's your fix:
1. raise the car, let the suspension drop to full droop.
2. Remove wheels
3. Loosen the spring perch and its lower collar until you can turn the spring by hand with practically no resistance, but it doesn't rattle up and down.
4. Put your wheels back on and drive.
Something tells me pre-load isn't your problem though.

how does pre-load effect ride quality?

It done too much, the springs will bind more easily. Nobody knows how much the OP pre-loaded the springs, but like I said, I don't think that's the problem.

sell the K's and buy a coilover/spring shock combo. I'd suggest GC (ots spring rates) with kyb agx's or illuminas. If your looking for a better shock combo, koni's will do the job.

i'm guessing he's running the default 10k/6k.

which is extremely stiff for the street, at least for the front anyway. That's over 550 lb/in for those front springs.
And yes, pre-load has no effect on the ride when the full load of the car is on the springs, at least not only 3 turns-worth of the spring perch, which is probably 200 lbs. of pre-load (assuming about 8 threads per inch on the threaded shock body, and 550 lb/in springs, less than 200 if there is more than 8 threads per inch)
Do those Ksports come with spanner wrenches? Because you would need a spanner wrench to turn those spring seats once they're snug up under the spring.

I think the OP just didn't realize how stiff a 10k spring is.</TD></TR></TABLE>

It is not preload... It is the fact that you purchased stiff springs for the street and did not know how stiff 550 is on the street. Swap for lighter springs, or get some progressive springs on a good shock (kyb/illumina/koni)...
