cut bump stops on stock springs?
i am putting my stock springs back on and i was a little worried about the bump stops. when i lowered the car i cut them in half. i went to get a price on a new set of bump stops and they came out to $30 a peice. will my shocks blow out if i use the cut ones?

i cut mine a little and i had no problems but i didnt cut them 1/2 way. i dont think you will have problems but i would get new ones anyway. just go to a junkyard and pick some up

i wouldn't worry about it.with stock springs you'll hardly ever hit the bumpstops anyway, and if you ever did,the half stops you have now will keep the shock from totally bottoming.

my whole team cut their bumps stops in 1/2 when putting in our suspensions and we have had no problem at all dont stress it nothing will blow.. 7 cars an not one problem so i dont think you should have one

bumpstops only come into play when you bottom out, and you wont with stock springs.
even if you did, having cut bumpstops only makes the bottoming out more noticeable(because the longer ones are softer)
they are still plenty effective to keep your shocks safe.
also cut ones make it harder to bottom out cuz theyre shorter so you have more travel
so... yeah.. DONT WORRY
