Default my built engine...need your opinion

I have recently built an engine for my ep which includes

cp pistons(11.5 Comp)
Block Guard
ACL Bearings
BC rods
BC valves, springs and retainers.

I was planning to buy a rotrex super charger for it but lately I saw a full race t3 turbo and started to change my mind after seeing what both a S/c and turbo can achieve. my questiones are these:

how much boost can i run on 11.5 comp using pump unleaded fuel?
what BHP is it possible to achieve?
Will reliability be an issue due to the high comp?

thanks

i wouldnt recomend more than 5-6psi on 93 oct. and you may be able to get away with as much as 8-10 on C-16 race gas, maybe? lol and take it to a reputable tuner that specializes in hondas that way you are sure to have the correct timming and fuel curves loaded under boost. good luck bro, next time for a boosted build, go low copression. lol and you wont have to wory as much. haha

i run 8-10 psi on my DC5 with 11.0:1 stock block with no problems (yet lol )

with an 11.5 compresion don't even think about boosting it. You're compression is more for building N/A not semi/ N/A + boost. If you want to go boost then lower your compression but seems you already put money into a higher compression might as well keep going with your N/A build and yes reliability will be an issue with boost + higher compression.

I also can't understand how my rotrex dealer is telling me that 11.5 compression is perfect for supercharging. since 11.5 comp is not good for turbo, I would have tought that it is not good eighter for s/c. he tells me that since power is more progressive in the s/c it can handle 11.5 comp without problems. do you guys agree with this or is 11.5 comp too much even for s/c ???

it's all in the tune. If you have an experienced tuner, 11.5:1 is perfectly doable on 93 octane + low boost (less than 10psi). You could go higher boost with race gas.

Just make sure you have k-pro. Do not even think about doing this if you're not going to use k-pro.

It's doable. Speak with your tuner and ask him what he feels comfortable with. I dont see how 400whp isnt achievable on 93 oct with 11.5 comp.
