Default Need help with mystery part!!

Hey guys I just got back from a deployment and I am in the process of putting the car back together. I know this box goes somewhere on/in the dash but I just can't remember where in the hell this goes or whats it for!

I'm not sure EXACTLY where it goes or what it does, but usually you can tell the general location of electrical with how the wires bend. After years of being in the same location, the wire will tend to bend a certain way. I would recommend trying to use that bend to your advantage to find where it should go. And from the looks of things, it snaps into something (but your clip appears to be broke).

If you are already aware of this, then I apologize...just trying to offer some advice.

I thought of that too. The problem is that it was hanging for about 6 months. In that time it became straight. So i screwed myself on this one.

mmmmm....good ole deployment....Hope you got to go somewhere fun.

Hopefully someone else is aware of this part and can be of more help than me...If not one helps you out, you could always stop by your local bone yard and look for the part inside of other cars (to see where/how it attaches). Just a thought.

Good luck!

Where around is it located?? Near the radio area?

Unplug it and see what happens!! Then you'll know what its for

It does go in the radio area. I had to take the dash out for some maintenance. I was wondering if it went to switch the vents since I have the push button controls!

If you haven't figured it out here in about an hour, I'll be home and can try and figure out where your mystery part goes. My HB has the radio out of it, so I should be able to feel around in there and see where it should go! I might even be able to snag a pic or two...

That looks like a horn relay to me.

Then again, I once thought I saw a rhino while deer hunting in Ohio.

Take it with a grain of salt bro.

Also controls the windshield wipers.

Just zip tie it to the steering brace.
