How much should I sell an used usdm type r tranny with grinding 3rd gear at?

I want to sell this tranny to my co-worker since I have a jdm tranny. Thanks

parts should run less than 100 for a syncro, its the labor which would be around 800+

I told him like 700-800
GSR trannies go for about that much. The ITR tranny with better gearing and LSD goes for more.

parts should run less than 100 for a syncro, its the labor which would be around 800+
Not when you DIY.

a good gsr tranny will go for 8, no one wants to deal with the labor of swapping out syncros, i think 700 is a decent deal, maybe 6

$800+ labor to swap out synchro's? That's nuts! That's if you are paying a mechanic to spend time and figure out how to do it the first time by trial and error. You don't want that kind of mechanic to do the job anyway. A mechanic who has experience who will do it faster and for much cheaper.

You have to pull the mainshaft apart to put a new FD in it and that takes about a half hour to 45 minites with the tranny out... Inc changing the final drive..

I can't see much more time for some syncro's
