turbo ls/vtec build????
Car: 1999 Civic hatch
Motor: mildly built b18a (rods & pistons) stock bore T3/T4 9-10psi tuned on Chrome
Its my friends car and we are about to start the vtec swap in my garage. He's got a stock 94 gsr head and all the swap goodies to go along with it. All bearings were replaced 10k ago when he did pistions and rods. My question is.....
On a good tune, is it safe to rev this thing to 7500-7800? I;ve read a lot about people spinning their ls/vtec swaps crazy like to 8500-9000rpm and obviosly knock knock boom
. Im just wondering the durabilty compared to a complete b18c swap/bottom end. Thanks

Did you guys just build the bottom end yourself without actually measuring clearances/tolerances? OEM bearings or ACL?
BTW, don't let anyone tell you the B18A/B has a "terrible RS ratio", it's only .04 lower than the B18C RS ratio.

The bottom end was built by some shop by the previos owner, he has receipts for all of it. OEM bearings. Whats the difference oem and acl? Its only like 10k miles old.....
