Yeah.

 

yeah but if you take them off you might as well just have the holes shaved. looks cleaner that way instead of having two holes on the hood like me. dont have enough money yet to shave mine.

 

they are just held on by some double sided tape. But if you do take them off you will have 2 little holes. the best way to take them off without hurting your paint is to get some fishing line and slide it inback of the emblem and pull it off.

There not just only two way tape there, there little plastic pieces too that hold them together, could be tricky, when I took mine off 3 years ago, yes I did scratch the hood cuz those little plastic piece where being a bitch to me, but have fun and the fish lines sound like a good idea.

on metal body panels the plastic tabs are just there to help center the emblem, the only time the plastic tabs hold on the emblem is on plastic like in the 96-00 civic grills

 

i did mine...easy as ****. take a hairdryer and heat up the symbol for about 3 min and just take something flat and slide it under the symbol and vwala! pops right off. use "goo gone" to get rid of residue left behind. fyi the H symbol in the back has 2 holes under it so if u take the H off there will be holes visible.

 

i used floss and then just clean up the remaining residue
