b18a1 block, b16a2 head
so i will have an extra b16a2 head in about a week, and i saw a b18a1 engine on craigslist for $250 with 117k on it. correct me if i am wrong, but could i bolt my b16a2 head onto the b18a1 block and have a pretty strong vtec motor? is this what they call the ls-vtec? and what kind of numbers could one expect from something like this, just a guess would be cool. Thanks in advance.

^^ Read that thread... there is much more involved other than just "slapping" on the head and being done with it. You could just "slap" it on, but if you do be sure to keep a long of how many hours/days it lasts.

No worries. At least your thread topic had a legitimate question unlike the majority of threads this forum sees on a daily basis.
If you build the block correctly and with the right parts there is no reason why you shouldn't have a reliable motor and make some decent numbers.
