I just got my hands on a SAFC for a song and a dance ( $30 bucks ) . Guy said he sold it to some guys who said it didn't work. I told him chances are the simply installed it wrong. So I wanted to know if there is a way to test the power without installing it completely in a car.

Sure there is. Go to Apexi's web site and download the manual, look at the wiring diagram to figure out which wires are power & ground, then connect them to power & ground.

Not that hard of a concept.

Although, my definition of 'didn't work' and someone else's could be extremely different. Just because it powers on doesn't necessarily mean it 'works'.

But give it a shot and let us know how you fair with it.
