Default z6 block y8 head timing

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ive bin expletiveing with this thing for hours. i have a z6 block with vitara pistons (8:5:1) with a y8 head runnin an obd2 y8 ecu. the car starts but runs like ****. i know its timing related but idk how to fix it. the timing is perfect on the belt but it still runs lame as ****. i push the pedal and it struggles to get movin. i have to like dump it at 5k to get up a slight incline. i have an adjustable cam gear that i was messin with but it did nothing. when the cam gear is at zero and i move the dizzy all the way to the front bumper, the idle jumps up but its still lame. is there anything i can do or do i have to whip out the aem ems. i need my car. heelllppp

try to get the ignition timing right first, then mess with the cam gear but be carefull (most cams gear: 1 mark = 2 degrees timing)and retard or advanced as needed. Also if you head/block has been milled/decked this will affect your timing not being at the places it was while oe.
