Take caps lock off, then run a power wire straight to it, hotwire it.

A hot wire straight from your battery to your starter and see if it turns over.

At your old auto shifter connection, big white plug, you need to jump the two big wht/blk and red/blk wire. Right now even though you have a 5 speed ECU,the car thinks its in gear. Cut the two wires and splice together. Problem solved. Reverse and cruise control are a whole nother ball of fun.

you connected a hot wire straight from the positive side of yur batt. to the positive side of your starter? you shouldnt have to turn the key. It should automatically turn over when you touch it with the hot wire. Make sure its in neutral.

Does the car crank over?

What do you mean that "it wont let you"? The key doesnt turn or the car still doesnt start?
What Ecu are you running? Spark, Fuel pressure?

What was the fix? Other people may be having similar issues.

Now reverse, you need to find the wires that activated reverse from your big white plug that was attached to the shift selector. Take each wire and run through the firewall to the reverse wires on the transmission. Basically you are bypassing the selector and adding a switch.

Does the key come out of the ignition? The interlock needs to be grounded.
