yeah the thing is that the guy that sold the rex had a cut harness the one that goes from the interior to the outside and goes with the engine harness so i had to put them together one by one so i made sure that each wire was the same color so in one side im sure but the other side makes me think that there might be a problem there.

Many of the same color on the same harness. Looks like you got yourself a handfull.
Done right the car never needs to go anywhere after its done. People shortcut, cut harness and blah blah blah. Good luck,I doubt anyone on H-T can help

When it comes to hack jobs, sometimes its just better to start fresh. Im not saying that the wiring is the problem as im not in your garage with a Fluke meter, but 99% of the time if its been hacked,a new harness is the first step.

What and how many wires were cut? I mean if its 3 or 4 wires that cant go to anything else, then id look elsewhere to your issue. Obviously the car is running rich. CEL on?

I would stick to the same model. What you'll run into is different size connectors with different pins. Four doors wont work, anything with power windows wont work, sunroof etc..
