Default Help! Bolt snapped off on rear toe adjuster

Ok, I just had my 93 ex aligned today. Well, they were trying to get the bolt loose to adjust rear toe, the head of the bolt snapped out. How hard is going to be to get this bolt out so I can get new arms? The nut on the inside of the frame is all rounded, so it's not like a normal nut you can get a socket or wrench on. I'm pretty stumped right now, so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The nut inside the frame is rounded, but has 2 tabs where it holds itself onto the chassis. It has a slot that it slides on. I'm assuming you allready cut into the chassis to get at the nut.

Your life is going to suck, man...lol sorry. You're going to have to manhandle it out of there somehow. Cut the toe adjuster off. Do this by cutting thru the bolt and bushing. Then it's all drilling, smashing, torching, and grabbing. Be creative.

I was lucky the nut welded to the frame snapped of when they was adjusting it. Damn alignment guy made me cut my frame to get the nut out. Oh an i had to cut the bolt that holds the toe arm GRRR. Try to use a strong flat head with a hammer, hit the crap out of it! So the welds can break.

yea, i know it's gonna be a bitch. i'm just trying to figure out how to get that welded nut off, because of the metal bracket in front of it. i'm thinking of trying to get all of it off with an air chisel and buy a set of aftermarket toe adjuster links.

this damn car is turning out to be more of a pain in the *** than i expected

i ordered a set of aftermarket rear toe arms. once they come in, hopefully it won't be too much of a pita to get the old welded nuts off

The nut inside the frame is NOT welded. It slides on a slot. If you pound the stub of the cut off bolt towards the front of the car, you should be able to pop the slotted nut out of it's track. Dont bend the frame when doing this.

update: i got everything taken care of. since the guy snapped the bolt off, i didn't have to pay for any labor. picked up a set of aftermarket toe arms for it, and got the shop to put everything on. now i'm waiting to have my roomate take it up to his work and get the subframe rewelded
