Aftermarket Upper Arms

for a 94 accord? ive searched but had no luck so far.

They make aftermarket ones to replace the stockers, but no, they do not make an adjustable control arm for the Accords. Also, the sliding ball joint style control arms are not as reliable as the control arms that have the eccentric cams in them that push the control arm out. Also, I wouldn't buy the control arms off eBay unless they are name brand. Off-brand parts are a no-no.
I used the INGALLS rear arms (REAR??). They have the camber adjust. They sold "rubber" and neoprene. I went with the neoprene. They WILL be slightly noisy (hard bushings/match the "energy-suspension" I used throughout the frame).
If they are, pull them and take to a machine-shop and have a tech drill/thread (2) small holes CAREFULLY through the bushing case, NOT into the bushing. Drill them in a diagonal pattern across the length of the case. Now install 1/4" grease fittings. Presto-shoot a little grease in at every oil change, MUCH quieter. The shop charged me $15 to tap both.
Sound nuts? The arms (neoprene) are designed for more stiffness, so the noise when they move up/down. I called Ingalls tech and bitched-they suggeted this cure. They are still slightly noisy when wet or very cold, but what the hell, I built a full out HP suspension under the car, I wasn't going with OEM soft rubber bushings. Wrenchy

Yea, I figured the polyurethane bushings would be noisier. I believe you can order some grease for them to make them less noisy, but there are a few bushings that you need to grease carefully, like the sway bar bushings. I seen lots of people grease the outsides of them and seen them shift out of the sway bar bracket. I never heard about drilling and tapping them though, but that's a really good idea for some of the bushings that you can't easily grease.
Don't get me wrong, the ES bushings I used throughout the frame are pretty damned quiet. The trick is to use the supplied grease kits and grease the !#$% out of the bushing wherever it is sealed against metal. I have seen other posters bitch about ES products being noisy-I will bet anything they hurried the install (especially if a "tech" did it) so they get a noisy suspension-their fault.
The main culprit IS the Ingalls arms, nobody makes AM bushings for the rear upper control arms. Buy good quality, install it slowly and carefully as the manu says to do, you will be alright. My main problems only occur when "techs" touch my car- face it, their job is to get it done fast and move on to the next job, so I almost always do all my own work. Wrenchy
