I recently got a 96-00 Civic hatch cargo cover.....I don't have the clips/tabs or whatever you want to call them, the ones that hold down the cover in place. There are six of these.

I went to the dealership, since that part was an accessory the parts guy first checked in their accessory catalogue on the computer...which only goes back to 2000...for s2000 and Insight accessories. He then checked for my model of car in the back interior panel section. He showed me a picture of what is listed, there is a clip listed there but it's not clear in the picture wether it's what I need or not. I could order those and return them if they're not it, but that's a lot of hassle going back and forth for something that might not be what I want.

What I'm wondering is if these are the same that might be on other cars Honda/Acura makes that have a cargo cover. What would be even better is if someone could tell me if there is a place online that supplies these. If I could find some online I'd just order them plain and simple.

 

Man, you have some backwards-*** hick dealership then. Also, a very stupid parts guy, considering it's not an "accessory" ... it's a body part stock in the DX, so that's what he needs to be looking in.

Yep, the cargo cover did not come on the '96-'00 CX hatch but was standard on the '96-'00 DX hatch. Look here for more info on optional and standard parts for your car versus others:

Thanks guys, that's exactly what I needed to know. Eran, the pricing you wrote down for the holders and the screws is aprox. what I was quoted for the part he showed me that he wasn't shure about. I'll call them up tomorrow, thanks. And as for them being a backwards-*** hick dealership...well I'll just say that they need some of us Honda-Tech type people working there, that would help. Too bad I work parts at a GM dealership and not there I almost keep myself from dealing with them due to what some locals here think of their knowhow and pricing.
