Default Beaks or ASR?

I just got a itr rear sway bar, i would like to put this on a 2000 civic dx. My question is has anyone used this with the beaks kit? http://www.beaksproducts.com/S...t.htm

Is it worth it? Does it really hold up or should i just save for a ASR subframe?

I know the ASR is probably the safe way to go, but damn they are expensive!!

Any input from people with experience would be great, Thanks in advance.

Benny

Save up for an ASR brace to be 100% safe. I've heard tear outs even with the Beaks.

Thats what i was afraid of hearing. The Beaks kit looks like it doesnt really cover enough area to prevent a sub frame tear out. i guess i need to save for the ASR.

Does anyone know of another manufacture of a subframe brace like this but not as expensive? It seems odd that ASR is the only one that make one. Sounds like monopoly to me. Thanks Benny

R Crew Racing makes a Comptech copy brace, but it's not listed on their website.

the ASR covers alot more area and bolts through in more places. It made a huge diffence in my car without the sway bars on. I never tried any other ones but ASR seems top notch

Don't both of the kits have subframe reinforcement tabs? They are basically just a slab of metal, both should work if you use them with the reinforcement.

Using the beaks on top of the ASR is a little excessive. Def. dont think it would add that much more strength.

You can see where it bolts through in more than one place. And it looks sweet. Make sure you have the right control arms though

ASR SUbframe Reinforcement with the TYPE R REar sway bar is possibly the best bang for your buck when upgrading your handling.

my brother is using the beaks on his DB with an itr sway. its been years and it still works great. im using an asr subframe with itr sway on my hatch and love it plus it looks good. i think the comtech subframe is badass too but for the price i think asr is best out of the three.

ASR.. I just put mine on, and i love it. I say, if youre going to this upgrade, do it right the first time. Even though its a little expensive, save up a couple more shiny nickels and you should be set.

r-crew's brace looks pretty legit, i wouldn't mind picking one up.
