FI = Forced Induction
forcing more air in than the motor displaces naturally using a turbo or supercharger.
Nitrous is a chemical compound designed to increase the amount of oxygen in the combustion chamber, which requires additional fuel. Nothing is being "forced" in this scenario.
Nitrous is not FI, but it's not NA either.
don't know what to tell you OP. used correctly, nitrous is a great power adder. I don't have enough experience to tell you if 75 is too much for a stock LS. I'm sure someone else can be of more help.

I agree with you completely and always felt that nitrous should have it's own forum since neither turbo or supercharged people have much if any experience with how to use it or how to tune it.
That amount is fine if you're using a wet kit. Just follow the MANUFACTURERS (of the kit you're using) recommendations and you should be fine unless the motor isn't all that healthy to begin with.

If that "tap" is a rod, bad bearing or anything else major, consider nitrous to be the bullet that puts it out of its misery.
