Default Honda accord 2000 LX wont start

I have a 2000 Honda accord when I went to start it this morning it makes a clicking noise comming from the hood the lights flicker and eventually come on but the car dont start and that clicking noise? the lights seem to come on slowly but they do work. And The more i turn the key i only get that clicking noiseE???

probably starter not having enough juice? i'd go ahead and check the battery with a meter, or if you're completely non-mechanical, find a friend that can check for you. also, if you can jump it, and it runs fine, then most likely it is the battery.

oh, also, if your terminals on the battery are loose or have a bad connection this can happen too.

Jump the car and take it to Autozone, they'll check your battery out at no cost.

My uneducated guess is that your battery needs a charge, or is dead. Is this the original battery with the car? If so it's really due to be replaced.

ah yes a 2000, if the battery lasted this long that's actually really good. by phenomena of acid, a battery only lasts 5-6 years.

thanks guys it was the battery now i just have to have it tested and see if it needs to be replaced but with a jump it started right up

like previously posted go to autozone or auto places that will test for free. Check water level if its not a serviceless battery. fill with distilled water only.
