i got a air compressor and i was just wondering if its good enough to paint on a car.

Its an 8 gallon tank,
4.5 scfm@40psi
13.7 scfm@80psi,
scfm @40 psi
125 psi max
and a gun that came with it and has a max inlet air presure of 50psig.

i don'tknow what any of these numbers mean, can anyone tell me if i can paint with this equipment? ............... thnx

i wounldn' try it. you'll run out of air, then it will fill up, then you'll run out. smaller parts it would work but more spreying time needs a bigger compresser.

ok so if i really wanted to paint a bumper i can do it,but it will just take time?

 

yep it will work. it wont work well, but it will work

make sure to get moisture filters. when your compressor is on more and more, it will create more and more moisture inside the tank, which shoots out your gun with your paint.

if you are a new painter you should be panting fairly slow anyways which will make the compressor seem more adequate.

my 6hp 25gal devilbiss is a bit small....
