That is a JDM only color called Monte Carlo Blue. Find a friend in Japan and give them a holler.

That colour looks to be Monte Carlo Blue. The paint code for it here in Australia is: B66P. Hope this helps.

 

They should have braught that color over hear as oposed to that light wierd blue hue they have out this year

The numbering system is just the last 4 numbers of the vin number. On the low production number honda's, like the Insight, S2000, and NSX, this numbering system applys (especially since all of the cars come from one plant). But this numbering system changes depending on country. My serial number refers to only US cars, another country would have a different numbering system that would reflect the number of cars that were imported there.

 

What are you plans for the insight?

 

So far I have focused on interior details like a leather interior and a stereo system. I have not looked into performance mods as of now because I enjoy the mileage part about the car (~70 MPG) and I do not want to do anything to it that would harm the mileage.

 

what would the insight look like if it didnt have that back thing over the tire and it was on rota's? photoshopers?

 

I remember seeing a photoshop of a red insight with spoon rims and a drop on the hybrid board.

 

Well, it is ugly without the rear skirts (tried that and the remaining hole is too large). But as for wheels, yes I have done aftermarket wheels (16"), here is a photo:

 

Hmm..I would think that changing to larger wheels and stickier rubber will make fuel mileage go down?? Oh well, its all worth it...hehe.

 

It did make the mileage go down (~10 mpg) along with steering response, so I have since removed them (ran them about 2 weeks).
