hondata 300 j questions
hey guys i have a new crx si with a GSR swap tuned with the s300 J system and the original tune was done a different computer. I now have a different computer which i have already downloaded the s300 manager on, cause I dont have the disk. I plug the usb cable in and all i can do is data logging though, I cant change launch control, rev limit, full throttle shifting or any of the parameters. can i open a new calibration and load parameters or will that erase the tune thats on the ecu?Do I need to have the the old computer with the tune saved to it to open it up and do anything? if so how can i do this or do i need that disk or the old computer or is there something im doing wrong? any help would be great thanks.
oh and question on cooling every time i go for a pull and hit the gas the engine temp gets colder on the data logging and the gauge drops to cold then i lose vtec im pretty sure the vtec is linked to the gauge on the cluster but the gauge is reading competely cold but hondata says its a 145 to 150 what temp does vtec kick in at? any ideas?

Downloading data from the s300 unit is generally not a good idea as the parameters are not always 100% accurate compared to the original calibration.
Go to hondata.com and download the smanager if you have not.
Update it & follow the help file instructions on connecting to your ecu.
