it smokes???
i have a 93 4 door with a h22 swap. not sure but i believe i am having more fun wit this swap than my other b seriess swaps.. question??? it smokes at higher rpms . the smoke is black and i know the car is running rich.. i have a 255 fuel pump so i thought maybe it was just build up to much fuel??? do i need to add something or change something?? i hate a car that smokes.. please help..
Black/ dark grey smoke indicates richness, its soot/extra fuel burning off. You would see this allot of cars that run without a CAT.
White/ light grey would indicate coolant/moisture. Most of the time, any car has this first thing in the morning when condensation is burning out from the exhaust pipes, but if there are large amounts that come out thick and dont immedeatly disapate, it would indicate coolant burning off, which can be from things such as a busted head gasket, or improper coolant tube routing.
Blue-ish is oil, which is burning off. You would see this in any motor that is breaking down or is really worn out. (Compression leak, bad seals, ect)

Regular cat may cut down on the richness you see come out the exhaust. You can also cut down on this if you get a better burn, by regularily doing tuneups such as replacing sparkplugs (NGK's are OEM) , and use good quality plug wires (Also NGK's).
