Default 2000 civic projection question!!! HID

quick question, i replaced my headlamps with TYC projection lights, there awsome just want to know if i put HID bulbs in them will it melt anything due to heat? or should i be fine? there H1 type and i can get a set for a half decent price...quick answers would be awsome!

these are my headlamps, and im using normal silverstar h1 bulbs if i used a 10 000K HID think it would help?

if you're planning on putting HIDs in these projector headlights, I wouldn't go any higher than 6000k bulbs. Same thing if you have an actual retrofit

the color temp of the lights has absolutely nothing to do with the actual temperature. H1 projectors already suck for halogen, and are gonna be even worse for hid. Youre gonna throw the focal point off and have horrible light spread. ive sen guys using those projectors with hid and the light was barely as wide as the car. these are, hoever a great housing to do a retrofit on. seriously, save youre money and do it right the first time

with that said, I'd hate to see what something 8000 Kelvin would do to a car

go with 4300K. Nothing will melt. HID's run cooler than Halogen.
