Tie Rods Question
outer or both ends? if i was you i would do both at the same time.pretty straight forward.....
remove the castle nut
use a tie rod puller to separate the joint( i use a pickle fork)
joint should be separated now.
now remove the clamps holding on the dust cover over the inner joint. move the dust cover back.now you should see a place you can wrench on to..just turn it loose and screws right off.(kind of blankety blank sometimes)
installation is reverse
And when you go to get your joints make sure you get new dust covers and at least new clamps since your old clamps are going to be ruined from prying or cutting.you gotta remove the outer joint off the shaft to get that dust cover off and sometimes it's a hassle.Just a heads up when your hitting up the parts store so you don't gotta go back ten thousand times..
oh ya!! when you get the old one off don't continue until you marked where your lock nut is supposed to be on your new tie rod so you you can get your alignment back to close as possible. alignment highly recomended after installing tie rods!!
