Default 22mm rear confust on front size.

Alright i have a 22mm rear sway. I am sorta confused on what i should get for the front. I was told an 18mm would work better for the front.

i can get a ctr 26mm for the fronts right now but im not sure if thats teh way to go. what do you guys think or tell me benefits bigger front or smaller front compared to the rear?

car is a 97 hatch
comptech rear 22mm sway
D2 36 way adjustable coilovers.

kinda hard to tell you what you should get.

what r you trying to accomplish?

more understeer?

more oversteer?

depending on what your goal is, will help to determine what kinda front sway (or no front sway) to get.

I am not sure exactly what im trying to do truthfully.

i want to be able to start Auto-X

and just be flat around turns.

what would be the benefits of over or under steer? or is there any?

If you have not autoXssed before, go as you are right now. I sinned for the stiffer, and still paying the price (so much work to get the stock sways back... and frozen bolts do not help...).
got a lot of undesteer, compensated by the dampers (all the way soft in front and all the way stiff in the rear...).
Car changes a lot when in autoX. Test it before (if you have tested in the streets, take care of red and blue lights! ).
don't use too $$ before testing current setup

flatter in the corners is realtive. Got 1 sec in a 60 sec course by going softer and more body roll in the front, with less understeer. flatter ight work in the streets with higher speeds, but not much in autoX with no banks in corners and 2nd gear full throttle.
I have also a Miata since april, but had run this year trying to understand the car before making any mods. u might also check the rules to see which class u want to run. nothing better than testing the car before u get bumped in higher classes, really. I run FSP with a 02 EX... outruuned by others, including stock classes. same PAX as the miata, but with less car. it's great in the streets, though! Yeah!

i went from having no front bar w/ a 19mm in the rear with some over steer to a 22mm in the front and rear and the car rotates perfectly now. however i have an EG.. another thing to consider is your spring rates and alignment too.

go autox first before you do anything so you know what needs to be addressed otherwise if u slap on this bigger bar and you go autox you wont know what has changed
