Default Question about shock absorber replacement.

I have a 99 Honda Accord EX auto and tonight my front driver side shock absorber blew. I've had the same happen to my other side and took it to the shop before, this time I want to give it a try and replace it myself. Are there any guides you guys could link me to, or even perhaps type out steps. Are there any special tools that will be necessary for this job, I heard i'll need to buy a spring compressor anything else? And also are there any extra parts besides the actual shock absorber I would need for the job? I'm looking at this one parts site and there is a Shock Mounting Kit and Shock Bushing, would I need to get those too? Thanks for your time.

spring compressors for sure. Air tools would be very nice when removing the top hat nut. Other than that, basic tools and common sense.
