both of those situations could have been so much worse. imagine if that rearend fell apart at the end of the track. didnt notice a cage in his car or not but if there is anyone trust the quality of it? that rx7 vid has been posted a lot of places but did anyone ever see a real story on it? did he not have the wrong lug nuts and only put a half turn on them or something?

The rx-7 incident happened at a local autocross event in my area. The story is that when he bought lug nuts he was given the wrong size. I guess they tightened normally but when he drove it at auto X they just sheared the threads off.

Sorta, ya...The lugs were standard, not metric like they should of been, so they torqued fine, and but the lateral loads of 275 width R comps, ripped the studs/threads clean off
