What intake manifold are you running?

What IACV are you running?

What ECU?

Any check engine codes?

Sounds like IACV or maybe your throtle cable is getting stuck. Check and report. Also, had the coolant been bled?

wat harness are you running? obd2? if so u need to change the intake mani, and dizzy. maybe some additional sensors but mainly intake to get it running properly, also get a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness and run a p28 on it it should run alot better you need to get rid of the auto tranny ecu

it might sound stupid...but why didn't you just swap a d16y8 in it and wire vtec? that would have been MUCHHH easier. rather than crossing obd's. and that is probably your problem...obd-2 non vtec ecu running an obd-1 vtec motor? sounds a little confused. kinda like a transvestite hooker.
