i will probably come off as being stupid but i live in texas in an area with no emissions testing, i was just wondering what you have to do in california as far as smog testing with a hybrid and if you have to register your motor or anything. also, with performance mods i heard you had to get some sticker to prove that each one is approved, is this true and if so, where do you get your perf. mods the sticker? thanks

 

so do you just have to have a bill of sale? is there any way you can make sure it passes before you do the swap or is there no chance that you'll get into trouble on the drive there? also, what about the performance part thing, i remember reading a thread saying this guys intake needed a sticker and that the engine bay needed one for the turbo and such, or is this just the sticker you get from the referee. like i said, i never had to deal with this before and i just want to get it all figured out.

if you dont want a hassle with performance parts pay the extra money for the name brand parts with CARB# on them... this way if you get your hood popped and they try to write you up for modified parts they will look stupid
i have a friend that has a LS motor and I/H/E in his EG, they cop told him to pop the hood and he did... since the motor didnt say VTEC he prolly didnt know what the hell it was... but he wrote my friend up for his intake(no carb).... he didnt say nothing about the headers since it was DC.......
