Gas Tank problem
Im pretty sure what it is, I think, just wondering if anyone has had same issues. I have a 91 accord Se. 16 years old, and its starting to nickle and dime me to death. Earlier in the summer I the gas needle started dropping real fast, i was getting 90 miles to half tank. So I thought to change out the o2 sensor, that seemed to help only after i reset my ecu. Then it got better for some reason after i used the car to move to my new apt, being loaded with so much weight, seemed to get the needle back to full. Im thinking the fuel level sending unit might be bad, I also heard that its part of the fuel pump.
So after getting it back to normal for about 5 months, yesterday i floored it and the need went down to half tank. Then it went back up, to 3/4. But mileage is still affected. For some reason when it doesnt read the fuel level right the ecu is affected to, and the car starts burnin more fuel i think.
I wonder if i try to put weight at the back to get the float to read right again. I dont know. Is this a hard fix?
Just a weird problem....

Well after 2 hours of constant cruise control on the highway my gas tank fixed it self, fuel level reading on my dash went back up to a respectable level, and Later i just rolled into a gas station on time, getting over 400 miles to the tank.
