Default Installing an Alpine HU in a 00 Accord with an OEM door lock.....

When I take out the stock HU and replace it with the alpine, will I loose any features?

Like the remote locking and such!?@ thanks

I think its only 96 model year Civics with keyless entry that have that problem.

96-98 Ex model civics to be more precise. I believe it was only the ex that had the keyless system anyways.

well that makes sense then, cuz my boy a few years back put a new HU in his 98 Civic Ex and had to stuff his old HU behind his new one so he'd still have that feature, glad honda fixed that!

I feel more comfortable putting it in now! thanks!

so I pput the Alpine in and it works GREAT!!!

but my boy says his ALARM doesn't work, the key fob locks and unlocks, but it doesn't beep if you hit the lock button twice and he said his red "alarm light" doesn't turn on.... soooooooooo whatcha all think?

Sounds like alarm is in valet mode door locks work but alarm arm. 94
