after a quick look i found no visible damage. no damaged fuses. is the electrical load detector in the fuse panel inside the car? is there a chance that it was damaged by here kicking it? please give me any input you have this is her daily driver and i need to get it going

Looks like you used a code reader. You could just look up the first few posts of this forum, and see how to check the codes for yourself and see what they mean, then go from there.

 

actually i used my snap-on scanner, i know what the codes mean but i'd like to know the connection between them

 

I dont know how the two are connected, but was there something that could've happened while she was driving that could contribute to the codes and her kicking the panel?

 

no dude she was getting in the car and slipped. When she started the car the mil light came on and the head lights began flashing dim. read a bunch of stuff on various sites about an "electrical load detector" located in a fuse panel. seems to me that if it does like it sounds it would control the voltage regulator in the alternator which lead me to believe this could be the problem

 

Oh, guess i mis-read what you said earlier. What you've said on the electrical load detector sounds like the right track though.

 

IF YOU HAVE THE RADIO CODE I WOULD TRY RESETING THE COMPUTER AND SEE IF THE CODES COME BACK THEY MIGHT BE GHOST CODES

the load detector is located in the fuse panel under the hood.

 

Actually, I don't think your problem here has anything to do with the fusebox, but it's still possible.

Start at the intake manifold bracket. Directly underneath the intake manifold bracket you will find connector C115. Inspect that connector for damaged wires, and replace or repair any damages you find.

Also check Fuse 15 to make sure it's not blown.

Reply back here with what you find or don't find and we'll go from there.

 

thanks guys, there was a wire shorted to the bracket on the under side of that connector. fixed the wire, replaced the fuse, cleared the codes and were off and running again......
