Default Code 15 ECU help

Well I dont have a check engine light but my PR3 ecu is blinking code 15 and I notice that sometimes the car will studder ever so slightly while driving. Code 15 I believe is the ignition output signal. I have no idea how to go about diagnosing this code. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Re: Code 15 ECU help (jchrm80)

Give these steps a try.
• Reset your ECU (pull backup fuse and or disconnect (-) battery terminal for 30 sec)
• Start your engine

• Does your ecu still read code 15

- No
• If not this could be an intermittent failure. Check for poor connections or loose wires between the dizzy and the ECU

- Yes
• turn ignition off
• Disconnect the connector from your distributor
• Turn your ignition switch on (engine not running)
• Measure the voltage between blk/yel wire terminal and body ground

• Is there battery voltage

- No
• Test your coil

- Yes
• Turn the ingition off
• reconnect the dizzy connector
• Turn ignition on (car not running)
• Measure voltage individually between ECU pin A21 (+) terminal and then Pin A26 (-) Terminal

• Is there battery voltage

- No
• Replace the ICM (ignition control modual) or the cheaper fix could be to repair the open or short in the wire between ICM and ECU

- Yes
• Substitute a known good ECU and recheck. If code 15 goes away replace the original ECU.
