ive done alot of searching and come up with nothing.

how come ive seen some all out drag cars tilt the engine forword.

do they run smoother like a v6 or what ???? whats the deal with it.

 

to make the axles straighter?

 

prolly so the motor can sit lower in the car.

 

We did it to clear our engine bell housing with the transmission.

 

more weight out on the front of the car and better axle alignment.

 

you are all wrong, its so they can run smoother like a v6.

We did it to make our axles straight...they were bottomed out on the frame rails...

Maybe he's dyslectic

 

I thought you tilted the engine forward to force the oil back to the pan during those extreme launches!!! Seriously, there is some good info here and plenty of off season fun going around .
