Default !!!!!WINDOW WIPERS!!!!!

Alright. So I was driving yesterday morning to work. It was raining fairly hard, and all of a sudden while I was stuck in traffic in the rain, my window wipers stopped working. I had to drive to and from work with no wipers. Anybody know what the problem might be?

See if you can find your wiper motor. The last time I looked at where mine was located it looked pretty hard to find, but that is probably what the problem is. They can freeze up in the winter and break down the gear inside. Consult a Haynes manual to figure out where it is located and you can usually swap a new one in with minimal work. A refurb from your local parts store shouldn't be more than 50 bucks.

i hope you didnt *** with the motor yet - check the fuse for the wipers first!!!! my ex gf's car, her wipers stopped working as well..i assumed it was the motor too, bought a new one, put it in the car and it still didnt work. checked the fuse for the wipers and sure as ****, the fuse was blown. and not sure how it is on a honda, but when i was taking the new wiper motor off i messed up the rotation of wipers somehow and had to bring it get it fixed.

so check the fuse first

I took it down to a Pepboys today just to have it checked out, and they said it might be the motor or it might be some bad wiring. I didn't have time to get it fully checked out so they told me what might be wrong with it and I left.

Btw. Which one is the fuse for the window wipers? Do you guys know the number on it? I tried looking for a diagram of the fuse box for a 1996 Honda Civic DX Coupe, but no luck.
