Im doing a GSR swap. I have a 170k D16 that runs perfect. Whats the going rate for selling a D16?

 

for one with 170k?

If you're lucky and it's in mint condition maybe $120.

 

Its mint. Only problem is reverse grinds when you shift into it. I thought I could at least get 3 or 400 for it guess no one wants a D series.

is it y8/z6? if not its not worth much at all.

 

Whatever comes stock in a 94 EX..

 

I'm on the east coast but as long as it runs good i'd happily give 2-300+ but it wouldn't really be cost effective to ship it across country haha! I'd say you could get at least 300 or 400 for the ex engine and tranny. EX has same motor as Si which is a D16Z6 in EG models or D16Y8 in EK models.

Honestly you could get alot more than what some people are saying here. But it all really comes down where you located, and how bad people are looking for these motors. When i pulled my D16 it had 200K+ miles and i sold it with the transmission for $350. I had many offers of 300 also, so there were many people interested.

 

i sold my z6 with 77 k miles andnew clutch for 1100 installed.. i think i just got lucky after reading what they have quoted. lol..

If it's in good condition, due to the high mileage I'd say maybe 2-300.

If it had lower mileage it would be as high as 5, possibly 600 (though doubtful).

Though that's here on the east coast.

On the west coast there's a ****-ton more civics and D series motors grow on trees. You can probably sell it for a few 12 packs or 100 bucks or something along those lines.

Don't know about Washington. PM Eran or NOFX, they could tell you the going rate of a D16Z6 (the motor of a '94 EX) in WA.
