Default Turbo D burning oil under hard acceleration!!!!!! Need help!!!!

Hey dudes, Like the title says I have a turbo d16z6 in my delsol-the car has 156k the motor is completely stock besides a skunk2 intake mani. walbro 255 and dsm 450s-dynoed at 238whp and 188ft/lbs trq @ 9psi-turbo is a turbonetics t3 super 60 brand new from treadstone.

Ok so I have done a comp. test and it turned out good within 5psi across the board, I was thinking that it could be the valve seals but I am not sure. It lets out a good bit of blueish smoke under acceleration especially past 4k rpms, usually doesnt smoke at start up!! The oil return is the 1/2" rubber hose that came with the kit and that goes into a 3/8" welded bung on the oil pan oil return has no kinks at all oil pan is tapped right at the top of the pan. Turbo is clocked so that the oil feed and return are right at vertical. No restrictor on the turbo (turbonetics says not to use one)!!

I have been searching this and some people have talked about valve cover vents, the only vent in my valve cover is the stock port at the top left of the vc and I dont have a filter on that!! Could my oil return line be pressurized becuz I dont have enough ventilation on my vc????

Any Help would be soooooooooo appreciated!!!! It just looks crappy when you wax someones *** and there is smoke pouring out of the back of your car!!!!

@ 9psi it shouldnt have that much crank case pressure to make it smoke..

if the compresson test is good the turbo is having oil seep past the seals put a restrictor on that thing .. i dont know why turbonetics would say not to put one on.. EVERY TURBO SHOULD have one.. hondas make too much oil pressure @ WOT

agreed put a restrictor on that thing. it also wouldnt hurt to have a better crankcase vent.. the turbo uses gravity to return oil back to the pan so any pressure in the crankcase is going to hurt oil drainage. i would also recommend using at least 5/8" id drain hose. (i use a 3/4 id) i blew up my turbonetics t3/t4 and a motor because of too much pressure at the turbo.. hope you get it fixed.

I think you guys are right I mean 20 bux for a restrictor-it's definately worth a shot!!! I found one on ebay that has a .060 orifice that will knock the oil psi down to 30psi, does that sound about right???

just because your compression is good doesnt mean much. do a leakdown test and go from there.

a restrictor is a good idea but dont starve the turbo.

Yea I definately dont want to starve the turbo thats why I havent tried a restrictor thus far but as easy as the restrictor is to take on and off Im willing to give it a shot!!!!! Thanks guys!!!
