i am rebuilding my current running d16z6. it has high milage so the rob bearings are starting to knock. im put low comp pistons to get ready for a future turbo. wut should i have to do for machine work??? rebalance crank?? should i bore the pistons any?? how much is it to get it bored?? thank you

What I would do is get the block and head machined to get them nice and flat so they take a good head gasket seal, especially since it's gonna see boost. Get the cylinders bored .030 over and honed.

ya i always surface the decks to ensure they are flat. wut does the machine shop charge for a bore and hone usually. thx man

A shop in Portland (can't think of the name, get back to you) charges around $100, but they really stress that you should let them plane it too while you're there, good guys. Don't remember the total tho.

 

bore hone and plane shouldnt be over 200 should it?? also they should "power wash" it right?? thx
