Default Newbie needs help..

okay, recently my radiator fan stopped working things i did:
ran the fan wiring straight to positive and gounded the ground results fan still works fine
second thing checked the relay and wasn't burnt or blown etc.
i took it to ahem* pepboys* they so called "fixed it" and it wasnt cheap. The thermo reads fine just during the end of summer it would over heat while driving in the city but was fine on highways to to the fact that i was doing high speeds, so if u got any clues/ ideas on whats goin on lmk, im thinking its electrical wiring but its not common for honda's is it? thanx guys n gals :D

yeah i checked everything, i mean like the thermo reads fine and when it gets hot it jumps and then over heats but still no fan switch, im not looking forward to ghetto switches and having my fan on all the time, i've done so to my 240, and its not dependable... got any other ideas or heard of any folks fixing this problem? by not ghetto switching it? lmk TY

I am currently having the same problem with my 99 si. Ironically i did the same fix. My fan is hot wired into the fuse box onto the ignition fuse. My fan is always on when the car is running. I bought a thermostat to see if that helps, let us know how your fix goes.

its most likely the relay my man you cant tell if its bad by just looking at it u can remove it and put a hot wire and a ground wire on the prongs and see if u can hear it clicking if not its bad which im pretty positive that is ur problem
