Default What kind of grease/anti seize for suspension bolts/metal bushings?

What type of grease should I use that isnt going to corrode anything? I have a 93 Del Sol with OEM bushings. What kind of anti seize do I use? ANd where can I buy it? I also hear not to use Moly because it will eat my OEM bushings?

Can anyone just point me in the right directions here to keep my suspensions bolts from ever rusting inside of the bushings again. I hate broke bolts.

As long as you don't coat the rubber part of the bushing with anti-seize, it should be fine. You don't need to use a lot.

I just use regular copper anti-seize compound from any parts store. You don't need to use too much of it. Just dab some on the bolt, smear it into threads and around the shank, and wipe off the excess.

Anti-seize isn't necessarily going to guarantee you won't have problems, but it helps.

The best advice I can give you is to store your car during winter and never drive it on a salted road.

I would imagine you could use the molybdenum disulfide grease, but it makes a nasty mess and I don't personally use it for anything other than axles. I prefer anti-seize compound for thread lubricant and fastener rust/corrosion prevention.

grease is better than nothing
but if your concerned about seizing bolts in your suspension

there is a reason its called "anti-sieze"
