most cops are reatded when it comes to cars, my buddy got pulled over in his EG they asked him to pop the hood because his car " looked" modified. one officer pointed to the blue ngk wires and asked if the motor was built for racing. Then asked if it was turbocharged when they were staring right at the engine bay. LOL
then they towed his car away because it was missing the tranny vin plate and said that it could be a possible stolen tranny. He got the car back 3 months later and they never gave him a real reason why they impounded the car for so long.

Yes you can put a power adder on your vehicle in the state of CA. You just need to make sure it is C.A.R.B legal, you maintain ALL emission equipment and within noise regulation and you will be fine.

Ask your dad why he's a police officer. Must be nice to be above the law.

I wouldnt know what to do if I saw my car out on the street if it got impounded. God save the person if they stop at a red light and I can get to the car before it turns green.

What you should do is find out how much it costs to have the California Air Resources Board certify your equipment. Last time I looked it up up, I think it was $100k. $100k to be able to sell a cold air intake in California. I think everyone who modifies cars in california or has any type of technical backround or education at all (ie, the people who engineer and build the entire world we live in) should just boycott and leave that communistic, rule loving, police loving state to all the scared, ignorant little socialists who are ruining it so completely. The we'd see how long those pieces of **** could survive with only each other to get anything done. The one and Only good thing about ca is prop 215. I live in South Dakota now. No emissions laws here..not that my car would even pollute more than normal anyway, esp not when I set it up for e85.

South Carolina here, no emissions or inspections of any kind. The cops really dont care about how much your vehicle is modified ( or at least I have not had any bad run ins with the law ) they are more concerend with whether you have " tv screens in view of driver. "
