I need to get some snow chains but I have hear some people say that I need cable chains not the regular chains that they have to be cable. When I purchase the chains do I need to buy all 2 sets for front and back or jus tone set?
Thank you
Thank you

Make sure to read up on your state laws, they can be illegal in a lot of places.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I think they are required in snow in the higher elevations of some mountain areas of CA.

Cool, fair enough. I have no personal experience with the things.

Is there a difference between cable and chains?

Here is a bit of literature on the use of chains.
So who is telling you that you need cables and not chains? Did they give a reason.
From my very limited understanding cables are a more modern version and will allow you to travel and higher speeds. Probably easier on the tire as well. But I am certainly no subject matter expert.
