Old school - I mean REAL old school imports have always been hot, where you been?
240Z's are collector car staus and hard to find for cheap in good condition. Had one. Same for 510's, had one. The old school toyota's were some of the first street racing with carb set-ups and 2tg, 18rg or 2tc setups.
Celicas up top are damn nice, had one too, 1980 with a supra rear end and disc brake set-up, 22r dual carb mikuni with ITG filter, blueprinted and balanced, autopower roll bar, lightened flywheel, Panasport Ultra light Track Only 15x7 0 offset.
The one in the first photo next to the orange celica used to be a friend of mine's. It had been purchased from a guy who was in or was friends with Bosozoku in CA, who had dropped a buick smallblock 6 in it and had turbo/nos set up with a welded rear end.
When my friend bought it, only the smallblock was in there - turbo and nos was removed. it was black on old school hyashi meshies. he tried to daily it, but kinda hard with the welded rear end.
Then Greg from Bosozoku bought it from him and has revived it from the dead - he works for Prime Media. It's looking damn nice.

i love the old school celicas!! I guess you have to be old to appreciate these classic cars with all these youngins weren't even born yet when they came out.

I'm not sure i understand your logic here... my favorite cars of all time are the hotrods of the 50's and 60's. Does me being born in the early 80's change that? absolutely not.

hot rods are seen in magazines, tv shows etc and are part of the norm. Classic imports being labeled "is this the next big thing?" is because you don't see much exposure on em. By you saying "favorte hot rods" sets an example of the norm.
I should have said classic imports and not classic cars.
