So I've been debating making a trade for some black recaros for my red ones. I like red but I really like black hehe. I threw up a thread on a local forum to gauge interest and I get an offer to buy and two trade offers. Now, what I'm wondering is if this would be a smart move at all. I've seen red ones go for more than black ones, so there's one area I'm concerned with. Also, my seats are in MINT condition, except for the driver seat recliner doesn't always work (just spins).

What is the take of the R community on doing a trade like this? Would I be smarter off asking for trade+cash, or just balancing out with the recliner problem, or just holding onto the red seats (they are rarer, aren't they?).

Any help is appreciated!

 

Huh, I always thought the black ones sold for more than the reds, personnally I would trade red ones for black ones any day

i was debating the same thing for awhile. i ended up deciding that i would ONLY trade my reds if i could find a set of blacks that were AS MINT as mine are. to this day i have yet to find a mint mint set of blacks, so i just rock my red recaros

 

red's are a lot more common AFAIK

Its crazy here. The stuff we would put in our cars in the states, here they take out and upgrade for something even more baller.

 

I remember at first the red ones used to fetch the highest price, then everyone one wanted a more low key look and jumped on the black recaros. Supply and demand I guess all depends where you are.
Out of 8 sets I have had I must say I love to own set of DC5 blues.... Damn those are rare and comfy.

 

i prefer the black dc5 recaros myself. got rid of my red sr3's for these

I've always had a thing for these.

 

I keep my reds as JDM bling, it's easier to see from far away so I can hook up with 15 year old boys.

 

I'll Trade. I think the reds look better in the CW then the blacks.
