Default Noob transmission question.

I have a d16y7 w/ 163,000+ miles on the auto transmission. The shift from first to second is getting rougher and rougher and I know it will give up anytime now. If I am to buy a used replacement do all D16 engines use the same transmission? Any tips on where to look for a used/refurburbished transmission for not to exspensive of a price?

thanks.

Try cleaning your solenoid screens it might help.

No sadly with auto trans you need one for your same year. 92-95, 96-98 and 99-00. You cant just use any. Sucks huh.

Not transmissions themselves but i believe the sensors and codes. Not 100% sure though, the main problem is the sensors to shift. I would be better safe then sorry and go with 99-00.
